Stepful really goes above and beyond in terms of how we serve our students. It's more than just coming here to get certified; it's about getting certified, getting a job, and changing your life. We're here to help.
Meet Your Admissions Coach
My name is Ashley Weissmann. I live in California, I was born and raised out here. I spent some time back east in Boston — I played college basketball, so I'm a big sports girl.
I wanted to switch it up and do something different, so I found Stepful. I love Stepful!
I do multiple things here and kind of wear a bunch of different hats. The main ones I wear are on the admissions side of things — so for new students looking to come in, I'm happy to answer all your questions, as well as the military spouse side of things.
How is Stepful's Program Structured?
I can break it down into three different steps:
1) Stepful is 100% online; it's a four-month program with live classes via Zoom.
2) Once you complete your classes, you'll take the NHA exam and begin your 80-hour externship. Stepful will secure an externship within 20 miles of your home.
3) Stepful offers career services to help you find full-time job placement.

Is Stepful Really Online?
The number one question I get is "Is it really online?"
When you think of the medical field, it's hard to imagine that it's something you can get certified in online, but the answer is yes.
The learning portion of Stepful is completely online. We do provide hands-on experience, so you will get that in-person experience to practice your new skillset, but the actual education is done 100% online, which makes things extremely flexible for the students.
What Can Students Expect in Class?
Each program is different.
Our medical assistant classes meet twice a week for three hours at a time. You'll have a live lecture for the first 90 minutes, and then the other 90 minutes is going to be dedicated to group projects or classwork.
We tell students to expect about three hours a day to do daily assignments, but every student is different.
The pharmacy technician classes are similar, but classes meet more than twice a week. It's all doable, it's all manageable, the pacing is nice, but it is important to stay on top of your work.
Is it Possible to Join Stepful While Juggling Other Priorities?
Every student at Stepful has a situation, so you're not alone in that sense of questioning, "Can I do it? Is this possible?"
What I would say is that there is no time but now to change your life. People often want to wait because they're busy with full-time jobs, school, or family responsibilities, which is totally understandable!
But, at the same time, there’s no time but the present to change your life. The sooner you sign up for Stepful, the sooner you can make those changes, and delaying it is only going to delay the vision that you have of what you could do or what you could be.
How Does Stepful Support Its Students?
Stepful's support is so unreal; it's one of my favorite things to talk about!
You will have someone dedicated to helping you through every part of the process. When you first get started, if you have questions or feel worried, that's what the admissions team is for. They're here to ease those nerves and make sure it makes sense for you.
Once you start, you'll have a learning coach who is dedicated to helping you graduate. Their role at Stepful is to get students over the finish line. If grades slip or if you get a little behind financially because life happens, somebody will reach out to help you get back on track.
It’s very hard to fall through the cracks at Stepful; there's a huge safety net of support from coaches, to instructors, to fellow classmates, to Slack groups. We make it very easy to succeed as long as that is something that you want.
Is Stepful Legit?
There are always questions about whether Stepful is legit. Often, when things seem too good to be true, we get a little wary as humans. And you should be—you should do your research!
But no, Stepful is not a scam. We are 100% legit.
The best thing about Stepful is that if you're ever worried about that, you can always just give us a call.
What Excites You About Stepful?
Seeing Stepful grow month over month has been amazing, and to be a part of that is even better.
I’m excited to be part of a team that values their employees. I think when you’re valued as an employee, it makes the job a little easier and makes you want to do it a little bit more.
The satisfaction of helping others and knowing that I am a stepping stone in someone's story is really the bigger picture for me.
Getting a text saying, "Thank you so much, I'm so excited," or "Hey, can you help me real quick?" and then helping them, those are the types of things that make work feel less like work.
Is Stepful Mobile Friendly?
Yes, classes are mobile-friendly. You can do it on your smartphone, a tablet, or anywhere you get Wi-Fi.
It's super simple: go online, fill out the form, pay the $59 enrollment fee, and you're in.
