A common question we get here at Stepful is whether we’re accredited or not.

Stepful’s Pharmacy Technician program has received accreditation from the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP). ASHP accreditation represents formal recognition of the high quality of services and care provided by our program.

Stepful also partners with accredited certification agencies, such as the National Healthcareer Association, to ensure that students who pass their national exam and complete their clinical requirements earn nationally recognized certificates.

These certificates enable our students to secure full-time jobs as certified Clinical Medical Assistants, Medical Administrative Assistants, Pharmacy Technicians, and Surgical Technologists.

All of our programs deliver a legitimate, high-quality education to our students. Our student pass rate on certification exams surpasses the national average, and we only work with the leading accredited certification agencies.

Let’s take a deeper look at Stepful’s accreditation status, our accredited partners, and everything else you need to know.

Institutional Accreditation vs. Programmatic Accreditation

There are two types of accreditation schools receive: institutional and programmatic.

Institutional accreditation applies to the entire school, ensuring it meets overall standards of quality and integrity. Programmatic accreditation focuses on specific programs or courses within the school, verifying that they meet industry-specific standards.

Stepful’s Institutional Accreditation

Stepful does not currently hold institutional accreditation. However, we are starting the accreditation process with a Department of Education-approved accreditation agency.

Our partnership with accredited certification agencies ensures that students who pass their national exam and complete their clinical requirements earn a nationally recognized certificate, enabling them to secure full-time jobs as Clinical Medical Assistants, Medical Administrative Assistants, Pharmacy Technicians, and Surgical Technologists.

Stepful’s Programmatic Accreditation

Clinical Medical Assistant Program

Our Clinical Medical Assistant Program here at Stepful is not accredited, though we are affiliated with the National Healthcareer Association (NHA), which is an accredited institution. Stepful students can take the NHA’s CCMA certification exam and work in 48 of 50 U.S. states.

Pharmacy Technician Program

Our Pharmacy Technician Program is accredited by the ASHP. This accreditation recognizes the quality of Stepful’s program and demonstrates that it meets all the educational standards set by the ASHP.
