How to Pay for Stepful’s Online Medical Assistant Program With Financial Aid

If you want to become a certified medical assistant but don’t want to break the bank paying for a training program, you may be looking for one that offers financial aid.

Here at Stepful, we offer an online medical assistant program with financial aid. Many students are eligible for our scholarships and we also offer a flexible payment plan to spread payments out over time.

Note that federal financial aid cannot be used to pay for Stepful’s classes. With that being said, there are still other ways to get financial support if you’re interested in joining our online medical assistant program.

Let’s take a closer look at how you can pay for Stepful’s medical assistant program with financial aid.

Scholarships for Stepful’s Medical Assistant Program

Medical assistant students may be eligible for a Stepful scholarship as high as $2,500 based on a variety of factors.

You’ll find out if you’re eligible for a Stepful scholarship when you apply for our medical assistant program.

The only requirements to be eligible for our program are that you have a high school diploma or GED and live in any state besides Washington and South Carolina.

Payment Plan for Stepful’s Medical Assistant Program

If you don’t want to pay for our medical assistant program all upfront, we offer a payment plan that spreads your payments out over 18 weeks.

This means you have over 4 months to pay for your tuition with affordable biweekly payments. You can choose your payment plan when you apply for our medical assistant program.

We offer this to help Stepful students graduate debt free. It's our believe that medical assistant students should not have to take out tens of thousands of dollars in loans to get a good job in healthcare.

Other Scholarships, Grants, & Financial Aid for Stepful’s Medical Assistant Program

You may find third-party grants and scholarships that you can use towards Stepful’s program.

For scholarships, check out our medical assistant scholarships guide to see some options, or use one of the many scholarship search tools to find ones that you are eligible for.

We also recommend checking organizations in your area—such as local or state governments and local businesses—to see if they offer any scholarships.

Like scholarships, grants don’t have to be repaid and, like scholarships, we recommend using search tools to find grants you may be eligible for and check with local organizations.

Finally, it’s definitely worth checking out your local American Job Center. These organizations provide free help to job seekers, such as tuition reimbursement, career services training, resource centers with free phones and internet, and more.

Medical Assistant Program Financial Aid for Military Spouses

If you are a military spouse, you can get free medical assistant training through Stepful if you meet certain requirements.

We partnered with the Department of Defense’s MyCAA program which provides up to $2,000 of financial assistance for military spouses looking to become medical assistants through Stepful.

Here’s who is eligible for Stepful’s training programs through the MyCAA:

  • Spouses of military members at or below the following pay grades: E-1 to E-5, W-1 to W-2, or O-1 to O-2
  • Spouses of military members who are currently on Title 10 military orders. You must be able to start and complete all of your coursework while your spouse is under those orders.
  • You have not already used the full $2,000 from MyCAA.
