How do clinical hours (Externships) work in Wyoming?

Your clinical externship is an unpaid opportunity to get hands-on training so you can apply the skills you learned in the program in a real pharmacy setting. Externship hours must be a minimum of 130 hours and you’re required to fulfill all hours required by your externship site.

Once you opt into externships, you’ll be assigned an externship team who will support you throughout the process. Stepful provides access to our Career Search Platform, which helps you find and contact externship sites near you in Wyoming.

You can complete hours on a full-time or part-time basis:
- Full-time: at least 8 hours per day (not including lunch breaks), 40 hours per week, completed in consecutive weeks.
- Part-time: at least 4 hours per day (not including lunch breaks) and 3 days per week, 20 hours per week, completed in consecutive weeks.

You must be available during regular business hours (8am–6pm) on weekdays (Mon–Fri).

Are clinical hours (Externships) guaranteed in Wyoming?

Does the NHA CPhT certification (ExCPT) count for college credit for Wyoming students?
